GrantingUp Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Jennifer Garrison, doing business as GrantingUp, handles information collected through grantingup.org and our related communications and services.
1. Information we collect
When you contact us, request a resource, subscribe, book a consultation, or purchase a service, we may receive your name, email address, phone number, organization, billing details, appointment details, and the information you choose to provide.
To deliver consulting and grant services, we may receive organizational documents, budgets, proposals, program information, and contact details for your staff or partners. Provide personal information about others only when you are authorized to share it. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, Social Security numbers, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Our hosting and service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages, referring pages, and access times to deliver and protect their services.
2. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, deliver requested resources and services, schedule appointments, process purchases and refunds, maintain business records, communicate about projects, protect against misuse, and meet legal obligations.
If you subscribe to our mailing list, we use your contact details to send GrantingUp articles, educational resources, and service updates. Requesting a resource or purchasing a service does not by itself enroll you in marketing emails.
3. Contact forms, scheduling, and payments
The contact form on this website prepares a message in your email application. Completing the form alone does not send the message to GrantingUp; we receive it when you send the email.
Google Forms is used for resource requests and blog subscriptions. Calendly is used for scheduling. Information you submit through these tools is processed by those providers and made available to GrantingUp as needed to fulfill your request.
Stripe processes payments. GrantingUp may receive transaction details, billing contact information, payment status, and limited payment-method information, but does not receive your full payment-card number through Stripe checkout.
When you follow a link to another service, that service’s privacy policy applies to its own collection and use of information. Review the linked provider policies below.
4. Sharing and confidentiality
We share information with providers supporting website hosting, email, document storage, scheduling, forms, and payment processing as needed to operate the business and deliver services. We may also disclose information with your authorization, to comply with legal requirements, or to protect rights and prevent fraud.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not publish client names, confidential proposals, or client results without permission.
5. Cookies and tracking
The current GrantingUp website does not include GrantingUp-installed advertising pixels or analytics tags. Hosting infrastructure and linked third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies for security, functionality, and their own services.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings and review the preferences offered by third-party services. Restricting cookies may affect those services. This website does not currently change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. We will update this policy if we introduce analytics or advertising tracking that changes these practices.
6. Retention and security
We retain information as needed to deliver services, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal requirements. Retention depends on the type of information and the reason it was collected. Information no longer needed is deleted or de-identified, subject to backup cycles and legal retention requirements.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, email service, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by email.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask to review, correct, or delete personal information held by GrantingUp, or ask questions about its use, by emailing jgarrison@grantingup.org with the subject “Privacy request.” We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting on a request. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, or contractual reasons.
To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe option when provided or email us with the subject “Unsubscribe.” We may still send communications needed for purchases or active services.
Nevada residents may submit a request directing us not to sell their covered information to the same email address. We do not currently sell personal information. We respond to verified requests within the period required by applicable law. Any additional rights available under applicable law remain in effect.
8. Children and international visitors
GrantingUp’s website and services are intended for adults and organizational representatives, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and remove it as appropriate.
GrantingUp operates in the United States. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Privacy protections may differ from those in your location.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our practices or services change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
