GrantingUp Terms of Service
By purchasing a GrantingUp service and accepting these terms at checkout, you confirm that you are authorized to make the purchase for yourself or your organization.
1. Services and scope
GrantingUp provides nonprofit funding consulting, grant-readiness assessments, prospect research, grant writing, and related services.
Your purchase includes the services and deliverables described on the applicable checkout page, service description, or written agreement. Additional applications, revisions, meetings, research, or ongoing support require a separate agreement if they are not included in that scope.
A separately signed service agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms.
2. Payments
Prices and applicable taxes are disclosed at checkout. Payment is required before services begin unless we agree otherwise in writing. Payments are processed through Stripe.
Installment payments, when offered, follow the agreed payment schedule. Recurring services require express authorization, with the billing frequency and cancellation terms disclosed before purchase. A one-time purchase does not authorize recurring charges.
3. Scheduling and delivery
Consultations require scheduling after payment. Payment alone does not reserve an appointment. GrantingUp will provide scheduling instructions using the contact information supplied at checkout.
Project timelines begin after we receive payment and the information needed to perform the work. Delivery dates will be stated in the service description or agreed in writing. Client delays, changes in scope, or funder changes may require an updated timeline.
Services are delivered remotely unless otherwise agreed.
4. Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete information and timely access to documents, feedback, and approvals.
Your organization remains responsible for its eligibility, legal compliance, financial records, program commitments, and the accuracy of submitted applications. Final review and submission remain your responsibility unless submission assistance is expressly included.
Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive personal information.
5. No funding guarantee
Purchasing a service does not guarantee grant eligibility, an invitation to apply, an award, a particular funding amount, or a funder’s response.
Funding decisions belong to funders. Research reflects information available when the work is completed; deadlines, priorities, and eligibility requirements may change.
GrantingUp charges for professional services, not a promised funding outcome.
6. Cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds
Consultations: You may cancel for a full refund or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice. With less notice, or for a missed appointment, the session fee is nonrefundable unless GrantingUp agrees otherwise. If GrantingUp cancels, you may choose a new appointment or a full refund.
Project services: If you cancel before work begins, you will receive a full refund. After work begins, any refund will reflect the unused portion of the service fee, less the documented value of work already performed and any previously approved, nonrecoverable expenses. Completed and delivered services are nonrefundable, except where required by law or agreed otherwise.
If GrantingUp cannot complete an agreed service, we will refund the portion attributable to undelivered work.
Request cancellations or refunds at the contact email above. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method; processing time depends on the payment provider and your financial institution.
These policies do not limit rights available under applicable law.
7. Ownership and confidentiality
After full payment, your organization may use and adapt its final, customized deliverables for its organizational purposes. GrantingUp retains ownership of preexisting templates, methods, and general educational materials. Those materials may not be resold or redistributed as standalone products without written permission.
GrantingUp will treat nonpublic client information as confidential and share it only as needed to provide services, with your authorization, or as required by law. Client names, proposals, and results will not be used publicly without permission.
8. Professional boundaries and questions
GrantingUp does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice. Consult qualified professionals for those matters.
Please contact jgarrison@grantingup.org promptly with questions or concerns about your purchase so we can review the issue and work toward a resolution.
Changes to these terms apply to future purchases. Your purchase remains subject to the version accepted at checkout unless you agree otherwise.
